Fortunately after spending yesterday in bed getting extra sleep on and off throughout the day and night, I felt better on the drive up to Baltimore this morning.
With Johns Hopkins Hospital being an academic training hospital, I have met several med students in the midst of their fellowships or residency programs over the corse of this illness. Today was the first day I met a radiology therapist in training though. It was interesting to hear my setup and treatment being discussed among the therapy team. The emphasis on protocol, alignment and using the infrared eye to confirm accuracy was appreciated.
Once the 9th clip secured of my superhero mask was securely in place, I was free to dose off. Five weeks ago I wouldn’t have thought about using the treatment time to rest, these 22 minute snoozes are not bad.
25 treatments down and just seven to go!
